Most people look at tattoos as a method for creating a purely elective marking of the body. This has not always been the case. For some people, tattoos are an excellent way to cover up scars.

When you damage the skin on your body with serious trauma, it reacts. It works to heal the body by growing new material in the area, often in the form of skin.
